Event Net Proceeds and Tax Information:
100% of the net proceeds will benefit the Law Alumni Scholarship Fund (D-0038191). Funds are held by the CU Foundation pending distribution. The estimated Fair Market Value (EFMV) of the event is $159 per ticket. Sponsorships and program recognitions may be a tax‐deductible contribution for less than the EFMV of goods and services received, as follows: Platinum: EFMV of $3,140; Gold: EFMV of $1,570; and Silver: EFMV of $1,274. All gifts in support of the University of Colorado are processed and receipted by the University of Colorado Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable entity, Tax ID number: 84‐6049811. Please consult your tax advisor.
We welcome sponsorships from individuals and corporations. In light of IRS clarifications on charitable donation rules, the University of Colorado cannot accept sponsorships from donor advised funds, private foundations, or qualified charitable distribution from a donor’s IRA (QCD), unless the sponsor waives all benefits from the sponsorship, including attendance at the sponsored event.
