Campus and community resources available during SNAP disruption

SNAP logo

Due to the current federal government shutdown, the U.S. Department of Agriculture has notified the State of Colorado that November 2025 SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits cannot be issued at this time.Ìý

Those who have EBT cards can continue using them to purchase food as long as there are existing benefits on the card. However, no new benefits will be added for November until further notice from the federal government. This change affects all SNAP households and cannot be appealed.ÌýÌý

If you receive SNAP and are impacted, please let us know at basicneeds@colorado.edu and we can support you with additional resources. We are still assisting students with SNAP applications. For the latest updates regarding SNAP benefit allocations, visit your local county’s human services website, or reach out to for statewide information.ÌýÌý
