Quantum Scholars Details and Application
Applications for the Spring 2026 Quantum Scholars Program are due November 21, 2025 at 5:00 pm MT.Ìý
Current members of the Quantum Scholars program as of Fall 2025 will automatically be enrolled as members in Spring 2026 and do not have to reapply. Current Quantum Scholars will automatically be considered for Spring 2026 funding. The application includes consideration for financial aid.
- Open to any full time undergraduateÌýbeyond first term at ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ.- Majoring in a field that overlaps with Quantum Sciences / Engineering (e.g., Physics, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc.)
 
- Must be in good academic standing.
- Participation in the program is contingent upon remaining in good academic standing through spring of 2026.
- Students must commit to engaging roughly twice per month in activities related to quantum sciences and engineering (with speakers from industry, national labs and academia; along with visits to local quantum labs and companies, and participating in activities such as the Physics and Quantum Career and Internship Fair and the Quantum Hackathon).
- Students must commit to building an inclusive and mutually supportive community as well as to advancing this program.
- To receive the fellowship over the full academic year, students must fulfill all of these obligations.

- Answer the following 4 short essay prompts, in one paragraph less than 250 words each:- Q1: Why are you interested in quantum sciences/engineering?
- Q2: How will participating in this community programming help you; what would you like to see in this program?ÌýWhat perspectives or skills can you bring to the program and your peers?
- Q3: What are the next steps in your career plan? Are you thinking of going into industry, to grad school, teaching, other? Why?
- Optional: Clarify anything you would like to your application, e.g. anything interesting about yourself, your academic path, or academic record…
