Our MENV curriculum responds to the changing sustainability landscape, integrating the latest advancements in sustainability leadership and practice. We review our curriculum on a semester-by-semester basis to ensure that our students are ahead of trends and new developments so that they are well positioned to provide value in the public, private, and non profit sectors through meaningful sustainability careers. We stay on the forefront of sustainability by leveraging our extensive partnership network on the Front Range of Colorado and beyond, and by bringing faculty that are industry professionals with decades of experience into the classroom.

ÌýÌýCAPSTONE

As a professional graduate program grounded in applied and experiential learning, MENV bridges the gap between the classroom and the real world—preparing students for meaningful, impactful careers in sustainability. Our signature Capstone Program sets MENV apart, offering a 12-month consulting experience where student teams collaborate with public, private, and nonprofit partners to design and implement solutions to pressing sustainability and climate challenges. This immersive, career-focused approach ensures graduates leave ready to lead change and advance sustainability across sectors.

MENV’s dedicated Career Services team empowers students to turn their passion for sustainability into purpose-driven careers. Through one-on-one coaching, workshops, and networking events, students receive personalized support in career exploration, résumé and interview preparation, and professional branding. The team also connects students with employers and alumni across diverse sectors, helping them build meaningful relationships and successfully transition into impactful sustainability roles after graduation.

MENV is a 48-credit-hour program typically completed by students in approximately 21 months.

MENV operates as a synchronous, in-person program located in Boulder, CO. Our commitment to fostering collaboration is a cornerstone of our program, and the in-person format greatly facilitates frequent and effective teamwork among our students.

Contacting faculty prior to application submission is not a requirement at MENV. Our program operates on a cohort-based model, admitting students to a cohort of approximately 100 individuals. These cohorts are subsequently divided into one of our five specializations, where Specialization Leads take on roles as mentors, curriculum developers, and student supportÌýthroughout their program experience.
