W.E. Briggs Teaching Excellence Award
The W.E. Briggs Teaching Excellence Award is given annually to a first-year graduate teaching assistant or graduate part-time instructor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Colorado at Boulder in recognition of outstanding accomplishments in teaching.
William E. Briggs was a faculty member of the Department of Mathematics from 1955 until 1988, and served as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences from 1963 until 1980. Â The W. E. Briggs Teaching Excellence Award is supported by the B. W. Jones and W. E. Briggs Teaching Excellence Award fund.
