Jeremy L. Thompson is an assistant research professor and software engineer. He develop the Ratel and libCEED libraries as part of ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ's PSAAP center. After graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy, he served as an advanced weapon systems analyst, testing the accuracy and reliability of aircraft based nuclear weapons. He previously served on the faculty at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Thompson completed his PhD in applied mathematics from ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ in 2021. His research interests include preconditioning for high order finite element-like operators and sustainable open source scientific software development. He is also a mentor and community leader online at freeCodeCamp, a free and open source resource for learning programming and web development.
