Andrew听Gilbert, PhD

Andrew Gilbert is an Assistant Teaching Professor of听 Humanities, Game Studies,and听Media at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Prior to obtaining a PhD in Comparative Literature, he got his start in screenwriting听and听his script, After this, had been awarded semi-finalist of the Nicholl Fellowship. He wrote a piece for English Language Notes听called, "Playing Pandemics," in which he discusses the board game "Pandemic" (2007) in light of the actual, global pandemic.

His screenplays听and听films have appeared around the world from Beverly Hills International Film Festival to the International Film Festival of India.听Andrew is also the co-founder of Helpful Goat Gaming LLC, where he runs a live-play podcast of Dungeons听and听Dragons, called 鈥淕oats听and听Dragons.鈥 He recently produced a game series podcast with the actor Dominic Monaghan (Lost, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, X-Men) called, 鈥淒om听and听Dragons.鈥
